Hello Marios,

A very natural portrait with a beauty and dignity over it.

The light is a bit on the hard side with strong shadows. But then that was perhaps your intention. Delicate colors and just enough details. And with e personal touch.

Compliments.

All the best to you

Peter

Thank you Phos, thank you Peter

It's an old photo of mine (1970). Memories.. that's what we have now, although Effi hasn't changed so much.

Peter, it was my intention to put a little hard shadows, in order to focus on the 3-D aspect of the synthesis (that explains also the peculiar framing of the picture).

Regards

Marios

Nice portrait...I think your presentation style does a nice job enhancing your composition...I would like to see just a bit more fill in the shadows.

Thank you J.

Please explain a little more what do you mean by "..a bit more fill in the shadows".

Marios, as I look back on this image from my previous comment I think that I meant maybe just a bit more light in the shadow side of her face...the more I look at this portrait though, the more I like it just the way it is....I think this is a nice portrait, particularly her demure comtemplative expression. Nice job.

You know Marie apart from the fact that this is a portrait in which you captured an amazing sesitivity and a quiet strength, the light and shadows give bags of volune, giving the model real presence; I cannot help feeling that I am looking at a young Maria Callas :)
