This is one of these images I like myself. I thought I would post it here to see if anyone else likes it.

Feedback appreciated.

Provoked a lot of emotion here. The ring, the finger nails and the hand make me believe it is a female holding a blade. Sharp blade or not the thoughts are very dangerous.;-)

Hansen, Indeed the hands are of a lady. It's a simple image and I guess it was not going to be to everyones' liking but I am glad someone like you appreciates it. Thanks a lot.

Geertje, I have to be honest and say I don't quite understand your comment about Bingo. I do appreciate you stopping by and leaving a comment though. Thanks a lot.

Even though my favorite subject is nowhere in sight, I think this is one of the best images of yours that I have had the pleasure to see. The composition is perfection.

You have done three things here that I love. You have employed a very strong diagonal, you have employed high contrast and still carried texture and you did it in black and white. You even employed a slight twist of the models hand to accent that beautiful white line against the carbon black of the side of the blade.

Is there now a McCracken twist to go along with the McCracken tilt?

Flat assed bravo my friend. There is little else to be said.

I was sober when I wrote this.

I am sorry David, for not being clear enough. See, I had this image in my mind of a woman standing behind the door waiting for her hubby/ lover to come home. Must be because I think knives, specially this size, are more a man's toy than a woman's. And she is holding it in an unusual way... supporting her hand as if her arm got tired from the weight..As if she was holding it for quite some time allready .It was just a poor attempt to be funny from my part :).

Owen, As I said in my opening comment, this is one I like myself. I like it for the reasons you mention. Interestingly there is no 'twist.' At least I don't think there is. Any apparent twist will be down to the model's pose rather than anything I did. I do have more photos from this session which I will no doubt post later. Thanks a lot Owen. I was fairly sure this wouldn't get too many comments but a comment like yours from someone like you is encouraging.

Geertje, I understand now. Your comment is interesting, the model related a similar story to the scenario you describe. Trust me on this... the lady in the picture is fantastic but she's not the type of woman you would want to mess with. The reason why may become apparent when I upload more pictures of her. Thanks for getting back to me. It is appreciated.

I like the detail in the hands and fingers...also in the stone in the ring. I'm thinking I can see the facets in the stone.

As far as anything else, I'm in total agreement with Mr. O'Meara.

And by the way, I'm sorry for the horrible puns I've made when commenting on this shot and the one of Woolfie with the razor...I don't seem to be able to help myself.

At least I didn't say that I like the sharp diagonal. Sigh.

I didn't realise you have commented on 'Woolfie Todd' (Google it) until I saw your comment here. Puns are welcome... the worse the better.

I am glad that you commented on this image too. It is one I like myself. I don't really know how to reply to your puns and so I will just say thanks.
