amypang 0 Posted June 2, 2008 Yea, is overdone, the sharpen, the contrast, the color intensity. M going through a tough time in life. Photographing take me off the turmoil deep in the soul for a while. When picturing this soft and weak lotus in the rainy overcast weather, the ambient is so dark and grey. The green is so dark. Yet the lotus struggled hard and stand strong, taking the challenge, shining in the rain. The whole series of lotus coming is unconsiously done this way. Never notice til I shown it to a good friend and truely point out that "my dear, lotus should be soft and tender in overcast, instead of hard and tough in the rain." Thanks to Richard, truely point out is oversharpened. But there is no intention to correct it til I get over the turnoil, May be one day you will see this softness come back in my works, then u know the bad days are over. Link to comment

markbalcom 0 Posted June 4, 2008 If these images are oversharpened, perhaps they are reflections of what you seem to be experiencing in your life? Please carefully "soften" these lotus images if you do return to them. They are well composed and many of them hide parts one element behind another in addition to their accuteness of detail. I enjoy them as a group very much. Link to comment
