Not Here 93 Posted June 3, 2008 Dick... Beautiful shot, great DOF, even better composition - the blooms leading into the frame and the touch of color with dappled sunlight - just excellent... Mike Edit: And even got a little critter in there (upper left leaf)... :-) Link to comment
rarmstrong 0 Posted June 3, 2008 Hey, thanks a lot! I didn't see the bug until you pointed it out! My backyard neighbor is a retired forester and has this beautiful flower garden. This shot is from his garden. He's in his 80s and still active, and knows everything about his flowers. Nice guy to talk to. Have a great day! Dick Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted June 3, 2008 Richard, delicate and beautiful, nice shallow DOF, and diagonal placement on the frame. The yellow/red flowers are a bit of a competition for attension, maybe reducing their intensity a bit with PS will be a good idea, what do you think? Link to comment
rarmstrong 0 Posted June 3, 2008 Thank you very much! I kind of like the colors in the background but I could reduce their intensity. I use an iMac with Aperture 2 for post processing. I appreciate your kind comments and suggestions! Regards, Dick Link to comment
