i was comparing this to the lighter version and preferred this, and the only reason i could think of was that this one felt more secretive. more of a mystery. i love it.

Mary, to be truthful, I liked the paler image better, because it reminded me of whipped cream, but I used this one to post because I think it is more dramatic, and would get more recognition.

Roger, you are so good to me! I am very grateful for your kind words.

Marlee and Pete, thank you so much for taking the time to comment.

I find this a most sensual nature shot. And yes, the dark tones add to the dramatic effect. Well done, Liz.

This one is a bit of a paradox .The softness of the curves and the nature of the subject should be eliciting calm and softness yet the deep tones and the jagged points are speaking of drama and turmoil. Storm tossed waves upon the sea. An unusual and effective approach.

BTW I like the lighter version equally well, they just speak of different hearts.

Gosh, Gordon, I missed seeing your comment. Many thanks, of course. Yes, this rendition is supposed to be dramatic, and maybe not so beautiful. Thank you so much for stopping by.

Thank you for taking the time to comment and leave me the wonderful assignment of viewing your work, which is similar, but in deeper colors. I love the idea of blending petals.

Simple subject, filled with variable shapes, covered with delicate light. Beautiful art out of simple elements! Love this one!
