I rarely critique flowers, Dick, as the pictures seldom interest me, but in your honor I'm going to say that if I got hit in the head and they had to go in and fix my brain up, this is probably what the world would look like for awhile. On that basis: well done! And, too, I like close and abstract, so this is good.

Thanks! Pretty weird that I was just showing this to my wife as you were typing! I really don't know what it has been in the last couple of weeks that has attracted me to flowers, except that they are here and just a short time ago everything was so bland. I don't think having my brain scrambled has changed my essential identity:-). Soon, we'll be spending weekends at the lake, that's where we were Memorial day when I realized there was something not right in my head. So, I'm looking forward to all of the subjects that are common to our lake life. Especially those cool misty mornings when the water is like glass and my daughter and I go out in the canoe. There is always a surprise around each turn...a heron or an eagle and sometimes a beaver or an otter. Just seeing the way the light plays off the trees and the water and knowing this time the D300 will be at the ready, gets me excited! Thanks again for the nice comment.

Have a good night!

You got a beautiful simmetry! Many congratulations! You can find a similar tulip in my portfolio, but not so good.

I have something similar to this on some other site, but people remark me for the reflections of the flash. There are no reflections here! Interesting how it's taken right from above, perfectly symmetrically done!
