does this remind you of your childhood? Does it remind you of

breakfasts on the back porch, or patio?

(I can't tell you how much I wish there were a Miscellaneous category)

I imagine it means different things to different people at different times. At this moment in my life, I am reminded of my skewed priorities and how I might have missed the joys and opportunities of having children forever. Not an easy thought to swallow, but life's like that.

Michael Chang! A voice from the past....

Thanks for your comment. Indeed, life can suck pretty bad.

You strike me as a creative person, though, so I imagine you would be able to find a solution that compromises those desires with your skewed priorities.

As for the "joys and opportunities" you forgot to mention the headaches, the frustrations, the anxieties and the expense.

Hahaha...you guys are funny!

I like this image a lot for its realistic yet abstract appearance. Life is a circle and what comes around goes around, what we lose we gain in other ways, nothing is ever wasted, when a door closes a window opens so ....I love this image for the soft tones, shapes, forms and symbolism (happy or sad).

Yes, Doug, there are always two sides, aren't there?

This picture has felt significance due to the recent passing of my mother, and my earlier comment is not surprisingly a consequence of these events. We make choices based on life experiences; hopefully wiser choices outnumber those otherwise.

Diana, your comment caused the positive rewriting of an important E-mail I was about to send - thank you.

Photography can certainly influence an individual's perception and perspective.

There was a TV segment saying there exists no uniquely Canadian iconic photo that is as enduring as many American's. I agree and wonder why. Perhaps iconic photos tend to polarize more than they would unify people.

Well, that's pretty interesting, I have to admit, but I'd be surprised if Canada was the only country with this distinction. I'm not sure I believe in Icons, anyway.
