Excellent choice of title. That sets the sombre mood and the brings a haunting perspective to this beautiful b/w image. Great composition. Wish I could give it an 8!

As far as ominous photographs go, I believe this one takes the cake. Everything about this is very effective. I find it is also my favorite photo in your portfolio. JR

I agree with the above comments, and I think darkening the rocks at the bottom would make them less distracting and result in an even stronger image.

As if the world was struck by thunderbolts ! Darkening the stones in the foreground is a good idea. I would even think about cropping them. Very dramatice picture.

...it makes me think of a "duel" of trees, challenging each other...dark and menacing...but giving a stunning performance under stormy skies...
