ewert02 0 Posted May 31, 2008 It looks like you shot this when the light was soft, which is the best time to shoot for the best color and atmosphere. I do think the composition could be improved though. I usually try to set up a nice foreground that draws the viewer into the scene. The partially cut off rock on the right does not do much for the viewer. If you have a photo editing program, it also might be helpful to rotate the photo until the horizon is straight. tsypkin 230 Posted June 3, 2008 Daniel, Thanks. I agree -- the horizon line should be adjusted, I often tend to miss this. And I agree with your observation about the foreground, but there was little I could do about it. Making one step forward would have sent me a couple of hundred feet down to the foundations of Bixby Bridge. I am afraid that I am not sufficiently venturesome for a good photographer...
