ehoman 0 Posted May 30, 2008 The road on the right shows a slight turn to the left before the lay of the land hides it. Does it continue on into the on coming storm? Will it turn enough to advoid the approaching danger? I don't know, I'll never know, so I'll be remembering this image for a long time to come. High drama here, Peter. Good work. ed homan Link to comment
henrimanguy 0 Posted May 31, 2008 Very beautiful, but the sky looks in black & white. Is it intentionnel ? Link to comment
peter_daalder 0 Posted June 1, 2008 Thanks for your views and comments, Afriadi, Hussein and Ruud. Much appreciated!Ed and Henri, the dramatic impact of the threatening clouds was deliberately intensified by a negative adjustment in both saturation and lightness of the cyan and blue. I can still see some cyan/blue, just above the brightest patch in the clouds. But yes, it looks more monochromatic than a previous version of this shot. Thanks also, to you both, for your input. Matthew Brennan 3 Posted June 2, 2008 Beautifully moody, the destauatred sky gives tremendous depth to this image. Very well balanced composition too, the laneway leads the eye crisply and the fresh tyre tracks add impact to the leading feature. Link to comment
dougityb 0 Posted June 4, 2008 I would like there to be something way out there in the distance, some spot of interest, a house maybe, or a tractor, to bring the human element a little closer to bear. As I see it now, it's a road to nowhere, and so my interest in it is not very deep. In fact, the most interesting part of it is that dark spot in the road in the foreground. What is that? That's where my eye goes, and stays. Link to comment
