Very nice juxtaposition of nature and man (made). The leaf on the stone design and the colors contrast. Very good composition.

(Added Later) Sorry, I should have completed my sentence "The leaf on the stone design and the colors contrast very nicely." I meant to say that I like it because ofthe contrast between man made and nature in both the patterns and colors. Thanks Richard for pointing it out.

I agree partly with the previous poster... but to me thats what a lot of photography is anyway, taking something mundane or familiar and presenting it artistically. When you see something spectacular, thats when the photo becomes even more challenging i believe.. as its takes so much more effort to make it live up to the memory of it.

Anyway, a very nice shot. I like the depth created by the relatively low angle. Simple in both composition and colour pallete, i like it a lot. congrats.

Maybe it would be stronger if it didnt have the red seeds around the flower? Clone them out? Just a thought.
