I guess that this image is a bit "risky", photographically. I loved the beautiful blooms on the ocotillo cacti, but they are so delicate that it's difficult to take photos of entire ocotillo plants and have the plant or the blooms be prominent in the composition. I tried playing with the DOF on this. Your thoughts?

ooh! i wouldn't want to bump into one of those! i like this. though some my ding you for those verticals running through the image, i like the play of lines, and i think the dof really helps to soften them.

Nice splash of colour and good use of DOF. I also like the placement of the flower in the shot. And , must be careful . . . ouch!
