This is just lusciously rich and soft and sensitive and beautiful. It's very obvious that this flower was "a joy to capture."

I am curious about the light, which looks natural... and wonderful. Is it all natural? Would you be willing to share your camera settings for this one?

Joseph, many thanks for stopping by.

David, many thanks for your comments too. As for the settings? Hmm, this was one of many shots I took, and I picked from the best. I might have used my Canon S3, since it has better macro availability than the XTi. I have to say that the flower is just simply like it looks, soft and delicate, lots of folds. Very tough to capture a good enough DOF. Thank you for asking.

Your entire magnolia series just makes me think of days long ago, shade trees and lemonade. Peace, Al

A real beauty, Liz. The petals have such body and detail ~ it's like I could reach out and touch it. Excellent work. Kind regards, Chris
