steve_lowther 0 Posted November 5, 2008 To me the most important element of this image is her eyes. Considering that, I brightened up her scleras and catch lights, and vignetted the image. The vignetting was done with the Elliptical Marquee Selection tool feathered at 60 pixels, selecting an oval around her face. Then I selected the inverse and darkened the outside of the oval with the Brightness/Contrast tool. If you don't find these suggestions helpful, please email me and I will be glad to delete them. sonnyde 0 Posted November 5, 2008 Too cute. I get a lot of grief about whether to frame a picture or not. I personally like framing, but that's the artist call. I think this photo works either way. Beautiful capture nice shot! She is adorable! <>< Sonny <> Link to comment
dougbrill 0 Posted November 5, 2008 SteveI appreciate the comment and the suggestions. That is one of the main reasons I like PN. I think the little work that you have done here does make it a better image. Thanks Sonny I also grapple with frame or no frame. If you look at my portfolio it is split between the two. I think that now I am leaning more towards a simple frame like matting when placed in a picture frame on the wall. It seems to isolate the image from the web page. Thanks for the comments and compliments. I think she will be my top model as she grows up. Link to comment
Not Here 93 Posted November 5, 2008 Precious... I think the enhancements added just the zing needed. I think the framing that works is the bandana and the natural curl of her hair, all framing this gorgeous face; the physical frame used is just dessert. Excellent portrait... Mike Link to comment
