rpease 0 Posted June 6, 2008 This is a very nice portrait and I would be proud to have it in my portfolio (6/6). I especially like the colors and the pose is somewhat unique. What keeps me from going 7s on this one is that the childs eyes seem a little lost to the distraction of the bright towel which seems a bit more in focus. When I consciously try and look away from the towel and into the eyes, I find myself focusing on his forehead which also seems a tad bit sharper than his eyes. In contrast to this image, the image in your portfolio entitled "Träumerei" draws your attention right to the childs eyes and is so mesmerising it almost defies you to look away. I admit I am being a bit nit picky here because all in all this is a very nice image. - Randy Link to comment
cindyp 0 Posted June 6, 2008 I'm with Randy on the towel deal. I would have moved it down just a tad or used a less bright towel. Great job! Link to comment
rpease 0 Posted June 6, 2008 Just to illustrate my point above I hope you do not mind that I did a little Photoshop tweaking on your image. I sharpened and brightened the eyes a bit and softened the remainder of the image. You may want to make these changes a bit more subtle than I did to illustrate my point. I think this helps bring the eyes more into the center of focus. But what you think is what really matters. Link to comment
wilana 0 Posted June 6, 2008 Thanks for all your trouble with my photo. The eyes does look better. I'll have to work on my photoshop techniques, because the effects that one get is unbelievable. Link to comment
