the muted grey fits the scene just about perfectly, and the characters, both the living and the dead show straight on expressions that are comfortable, the body language at ease. A terrific symmetry ties it all together and a story is being told.

The picture is quite excellent but for the cut - to my eyes the photographer would have done well to walk back. Including the feet and the cross entering the earth would have been stronger! But still is, nonetheless, a fine shot full of style, mood, and narrative, that points the way for better work to come.
