pnital 36 Posted May 25, 2008 The castle of Toledo. Dedicated to my friend Alberto Conde de Oya, that was my friend, guide in Toledo, creating unforgetable days for me in Madrid. The thin border of existence in human life. Link to comment
jmcconnell2 0 Posted May 25, 2008 Beautiful scene, and a splendid shot. Regards, Jim. Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted May 25, 2008 The border between so many things is indeed thin. Between poverty and relative wealth, between enslavement and relative freedom. And between death and life itself. Nice image and good thoughts. Peace Link to comment

joe-tury 0 Posted May 26, 2008 I like how the buildings slant diagonally across the frame, with the walls forming a graceful curve. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted May 26, 2008 Thanks all of you, for your feedback. Dave, you are so right. There is a well known song in our country, its begining is ( free translation) "All the entire world is a thin bridge "....... Link to comment
gordonjb 10,860 Posted May 26, 2008 As Joseph mentioned I like the curves within the composition. The swerve in the road followed by the straight section leads my eye directly to the castle. The warm late day sun, striking the castle, as well as the long shadows filling the far side of the valley give this photo a great sense of depth. Link to comment
mikestacey 0 Posted May 26, 2008 Nice use of the road for leading the eyes into the picture Pnina. The castle at the end is placed well too. Link to comment

Donna Stavis 0 Posted May 27, 2008 To me, this speaks of freedom, the road, the river, bridges, which by definition connect in so many ways, and the swerves in life that bring thrills sometimes danger or courage to find ways to move forward. Link to comment
marco_ruggiero 0 Posted May 27, 2008 A splendid homage to Alberto. My compliments Pnina. Link to comment

kirk d 0 Posted May 27, 2008 Very nice composition! I to like the winding road pointing to the castle and also the landscape in shadow to the right adds a nice line and helps guide me to the castle. Many things to see in this one image from this vantage point. There seems to be a trail on the slope below the road with a person on it and another person in a yard to the left. Was it siesta time? I'm surprised I do not see more bodies out and about. This is a beautiful picture to look at and re-kindle the memorable trip you had with your friend. Kirk Link to comment
adan1 0 Posted May 28, 2008 To me the road is not only a structure that connect cities but in this instance symbolizes the friendship that connects people. This is a wonderful and fitting tribute to your friend Pnina and I'm sure he is smiling wherever he is. Link to comment
gp1664880838 0 Posted May 28, 2008 We saw this lovely city few years ago. It's really beautiful, full of amazing buildings, "decorating" by El Greco. One of the favourite place me had visited. This view is very nice. You chose POV very well. And composition is really nice. Greetings, G&P Link to comment
