naturegirl99 0 Posted May 27, 2008 Surprisingly, these "badlands" are located in a lush area of mixed woodland in central Ontario. Land clearing left the soft Queenston shale exposed to erosion. The presence of iron oxides in the soil creates the red colour and the banding. All comments welcome. Link to comment
