chickphoto 0 Posted May 23, 2008 The scene makes for a fine landscape and your framing of the image is done well. The down-side here is in exposure and dynamic range. We should be seeing more detail in the elements of interest (trees and mountains). Link to comment
karen rexrode 0 Posted May 23, 2008 I think the image would need more post processing in the areas you mentioned. Otherwise the low mist would suffer from overexposure. It's always difficult when there is that amount of brightness in the scene. Especially with digital. Link to comment
Not Here 93 Posted May 23, 2008 Karen... A beautiful scene from a gorgeous valley there in Cades Cove. I concur with Carl about the lighting, and hope you don't mind, I've done a little 5-minute fix. I'm sure, especially if you shot in RAW, that you could bring out a little of the dark shadows (not all of course). All the while not changing the clouds.... Mike Edit: Karen, my apologies... I made this correction and comment before looking at your portfolio... uh, I don't need to be giving you any advice... a marvelous collection of images!! Link to comment
