See technical details for more info. The colors and patterns caught my eye with the dying but warm sun shining on the upper half of the fish.

Tony, your movement into more and more abstract is very interesting. This one catches the eye right away. The upper fin immediately sets the stage for "fish" but the rest of the image gets even more interesting as my eye wanders. The red vertical lines and the low horizontal line through the white make this a most interesting abstract.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting. With a couple of assignments keeping me busy, I react to things nearby (no time for travel) and this one caught my eye. I suppose we need to see the things around us and capture it - this was a 'lucky' find. Warm regards,

Most eye catching on first glance is the warm, fine tuned color combination with all it's nuances - making the picture a stand alone piece of modern art. The parallel lines of fin and backbone ( or fishbone) cofirm in fact the 'rule of 1/3' making it a perfect set-up for the phototechnical connaisseurs. The only slight reservation I have is pure aesthetically with regards to the upper left corner. The descending line just disturbs a bit the straight characteristics. (Please, this is my personal opinion). However, it remains a materpiece of photographic art. Congratulations Tony and thumb-up for creativity. Regards, El

Thanks for taking the time to write with the constructive comments. It is always appreciated. The upper left vertical line (other fish fin) was included to provide a small amount of visual tension and also balance with some other vertical but slanted lines in the image. If it disturbs, then it is an easy crop to make. I have some other fish ideas but that may not be realized for months due to availability. Have a great day and best regards,
