naturegirl99 0 Posted May 22, 2008 This was done using my kit lens and a Singh-Ray Gold-n-Blue filter. Captured close to sunset at the Peggy's Cove Lighthouse. Link to comment
chickphoto 0 Posted May 22, 2008 As a pure landscape, I believe this image misses the mark somewhat. While most times I suggest moving in closer, I'm thinking in this instance moving further back might have done the trick. The shot does, however, rank fairly well as an abstract in my opinion. I really like the golden glow of the water. It seems to capture the eye. Link to comment
laurentbaig 0 Posted May 22, 2008 I like the contrast between the gold colored water and the plain stone. Link to comment
vetterhome1 0 Posted May 22, 2008 Well selected structure and impressive colour contrast. A little bit cut the top ? BR Joerg Link to comment
milena_safrova 0 Posted May 22, 2008 I would also suggest to place it into Abstract. The effect of the filter is very nice, a very attractive image. Link to comment
naturegirl99 0 Posted May 23, 2008 Thank you, everyone, for taking the time to comment on this image. Perhaps it does belong in Abstract; I tend to focus on the smaller details of a scene and emphasize the form, texture and colour. Link to comment
thadley 15 Posted March 24, 2009 I am no expert in categorizing where images should be placed and probably the others know best but for me this is straight 'nature' image. except for the gold color (thanks for your honesty). I love rocks but I get a sense that most here at PN can take them or leave them. I would hang this on my wall any day. Link to comment
