Stunning texture and tone. It looks like mountain and shadows. In the first phenomenon the second photo in the background is intriguing. Once it happened to me with flash. Its beautiful whatever it is.David regards.

Effective composition of clouds. The difference between the white and the dark cloud works well in this picture. In the phenomenons is interesting the light and the colors in the backgrounds. Warm regards. Glauco

I like the composition and subject of clouds. With the deep blue sky and lighting on the top of the white clouds, you give the viewer a place to breath, providing the expanse of space and therefore luxury to enjoy these formations. I'm just wondering where you are in relation.

All three are dramatic and quite beautiful.

A similar phenomenon that I happen to encounter & upload the image about 2 years ago. Gorgeous that you have encounter it too. Back to the image, lovely light through the clouds. Good contrast of blue sky & soft cottony clouds.

Lovely cootn-wool effect, David. Is has the feel of a soft cushion inviting us to rest our weary bodies. I think that both of the effects you show are caused by shadows of one cloud cast on another.

Beautiful shot of alto-cumulus cloud and the side-light making it glow. The other two attachments show the scattering of light and colours,when sunrays is passing through water particles.

All these three captures are powerfully captivating. To me perhaps it is the presence of the dark clouds set against light and in a way they symbolize a struggle of two forces.

These 2 "Phenomenon" you are talking about might be "smog" I got these sunset while I was flying from New York to LA. It was weird, above the sunset was a dark clouds.I'll post it when I can.
