rbergerud 0 Posted May 22, 2008 I really love the feeling I get from this photo. The light, how it seems to glow from the underside of the barn really captures me, as well as its perspective. Wonderful work! Link to comment
lonebearimages 0 Posted May 22, 2008 Nice work! Cades Cove, GSMNP; I'd recognize this anywhere. I saw a big copperhead squeezed up under the boards on the side of this barn. I think your HDR was done well too. Cheers! Chris Link to comment
stp 6 Posted May 22, 2008 I'm often not a huge fan of HDR, but here I think it works very well and you've produced a very appealing image. The warmth of the light in the center is what captures my attention. If I don't think too hard about "how can that be" given the background light, I really like it. Link to comment
voets 0 Posted May 22, 2008 very well done I't not an 'over the top' HDR that come by a lot on photo.net Link to comment
daved1 1 Posted May 22, 2008 The lighting and your post processing turn this into a great image. Very well done and a pleasure to view. Link to comment
ron31664876659 0 Posted May 22, 2008 Nicely done, that machine under the barn overhang is called a mowing machine. Link to comment
karen rexrode 0 Posted May 22, 2008 Ron, My son pointed out to me it wasn't a carriage but I was unsure what to call it. We thought the length on the front would accomadate oxen. It's nice to know the right name and definition. Thank-you. Karen Link to comment
charliemastrovich 0 Posted November 3, 2008 It's taken me awhile to find your portfolio but I'm soo glad I did. This shot draws you in with beautiful warm light and holds you with all the details. Terrific vision and follow through. I was wondering if the bright highlights under the overhang on the ground and on the overhangs ceiling were dodged or if you used some other lighting scheme in the taking of the image. karen rexrode 0 Posted November 5, 2008 Charles, I also noticed the light on the underside. I did not change anything after processing the image as HDR. So there was some ambient light, enough to reflect. It was an overcast days, they often give us the best results and surprises. Thanks for comments, Karen Link to comment
