I recently had the opportunity to photograph these remarkable looking

creatures while visiting Hawaii. Originally from Africa, this species was

introduced to the island back in 1972 from a pet shop owner, since then

their population has grown in the wild and can be found on 3 of the

islands. Back in 1994 the islands suffered from a 2 year drought and the

chameleons numbers declined significantly, but have rebounded since.

Yes, unbelievably real! These have been my favorite since childhood and remain so to this day. It look's like a miniture toy tricerotops. I'm glad you enjoy the image too.
