animalexplorer 0 Posted May 21, 2008 I recently had the opportunity to photograph these remarkable looking creatures while visiting Hawaii. Originally from Africa, this species was introduced to the island back in 1972 from a pet shop owner, since then their population has grown in the wild and can be found on 3 of the islands. Back in 1994 the islands suffered from a 2 year drought and the chameleons numbers declined significantly, but have rebounded since. Paul :) Link to comment
