Attack on the Heron - 3

These three photos are magnificent. I hope the heron survived the assault.

Sorry to be a bore, but I passed this way a second time and found to my dismay that on one else found this worthy of commentary. I guess I'm just out of touch--or at least out of step--with my companions.

 

I love this.

Someone emailed me that i should send this in for critique. This

is a male Egret who was trying to attrack a female and stumbled

on an avocet nest. Both the male and female avocet were

attacking the egret to get him to move. The green on the beak

shows he was in courtship and you can see his ruffled feathers

from the attack. Comments welcome. mark

Nice expresion but a bit too centered maybe (I know when you need to go fast it's not easy but ...)

The teleconverter makes the out of focus areas a little weird, but Great timing!

The very fact that you captured such an event is worthy of major comment - then again perhaps I'm too "green" to know what a good shot is? No, I don't think so (many miles on the speedometer here, and much looking). This is a GREAT shot, and again Mark, thanks - I would never have the opportunity of seeing such an event in my lifetime if it were not for your sharing!
