le-plume 0 Posted May 18, 2008 Uploaded quite a few pictures today, some from a few years back, and some more recent work. Which means I don't know where to start thecritique request!I've started to use black and white 135 films (Fuji Acros, ASA 100)with my Pentax MX, mostly for cityscapes (see my "Ca, c'est Paris"folder) and picturing construction works. I try to capture unusualangles or associations - not always managing to do that, but I keeptrying.Quite a way from the historic center of Paris, the rotunda of LaVillette is an XVIIIth century building designed by ClaudeLedoux, intended as a toll house at the fiscal limits of Paris. It islocated at the tip of a basin, at the head of the Canal Saint-Martin.Since the former walls are now replaced by an aerial metropolitanrailway, the rotunda is hugged by the eiffelian structure of the Metro- that's what I tried to capture here.
