The road from Ticino to the Saint-Gotthard pass, in Switzerland, whichfor the last thousand years (and some) has marked the border betweenLatin and German Europe.

Having been raised amongst the soft hillsof Western France, those mountain landscapes have always felt veryoutlandish to me...

Thanks... This is one of those case where, basically, the picture was there, waiting to be taken.

I wish the car on the road would have been more visible - can't help it that those mountains are so, you know, big!
