dougityb 0 Posted May 18, 2008 Here's a nice collection of comments to wake up to. Thanks to everyone for their input. Erik, I've been using photoshop CS2 for the past couple years. Minor skin blemishes and imperfections that the light accentuated were removed or subdued with the clone tool, and/or the healing brush. My biggest headache was her skin tone, believe it or not. mg 0 Posted May 19, 2008 Hi Doug, I just saw your long post and replied to it: very weird. Many thanks. As for this picture, it is so far the one I like the least in this series. On my monitor her skin is still very pinkish. A suggestion: go to " selective color ", set red at top, then decrease by at most 10 points the amount of magentas in it, then increase cyan and yellow by about 5 points each, then decrease black by 5 to 10 points - all this still with red as the recepient of your correction. I could easily be wrong bya few points - just guessing here -, but I shouldn't be too far from the right thing - ASSUMING my monitor shows the actual colors ! :-)) "Selective color " is the true "soul" of skin color adjustments in PS. Besides that, what I don't like here is that her mouth isn't straight - but slanted - and that she looks very serious, without looking clever - unlike in the other pictures. Cheers, and thanks again for your big help on my contrast problem. Link to comment
dougityb 0 Posted May 20, 2008 My pleasure. Our monitor wars are yielding fruit. I like her skin this pink, for some reason, but I tried your selective color techniqe, and I see it's so much better than the way I've been doing it. Thanks for sharing it. Link to comment
