Karl Schuler 48 Posted May 18, 2008 Early May 2008, in a Yurt in the Altai Mountains of Western Mongolia. This is the season when the animals of the nomad herders give birth. The weakest among the newborn are kept in the ger, where they grow uptogether with the children.I appreciate your comments and rating. jmcconnell2 0 Posted May 18, 2008 The lighting, focus and exposure is all near perfect, maybe the child on the right should be closer to the mother. A really heart-warming photo Karl. Link to comment

Karl Schuler 48 Posted May 22, 2008 Thanks Carsten for introducing me to August Sander, a great portrait photographer with a particular style and mission: Freeze the moment to protect the world from changing? It is impossible, but sometimes one is tempted to try it, like here in Mongolia, where the nomadic lifestyle is an endangered culture. Karl Link to comment

dankapsner 0 Posted June 1, 2008 What a lovely photograpgh! I wish there was slightly more room around them--they seem a little squeezed into the frame--but nonetheless it is fine work showing great compassion. Link to comment
