This looks like a member of the Allium genus, which include onions and garlic plants. A wider shot would have been more helpful if you wanted it identified. Regards.

excellent dof and i'm in awe of how sharp it is. beautiful color and light. i'm ashamed that the extent of my flower identification is not much more than daisy, rose, tulip.

I've had some huge talent weighing in on this, and I am honored. I love the shape of this flower, and I had fun composing the image. I am grateful for everything you left.

I got a chance to look yesterday, and this is a Gladiator Allium. My wife and I had some of these, but the flowers have just about played out. Very nice photograph. Look forward to seeing more.
