For some reason, the intertidal area is somewhere I feel right athome. Well, this particular strand, in the Perros bay, NorthernBrittany, is one I have known all my life.

Going there with a camera was an opportunity to pay real attentionto the fauna that grows on the old concrete of the quay. This picturebarely survived an accidental camera unlocking a few minutes after Itook it - I blame the farmer who saw fit to plough hal the coastalwalkway for that....

Intriguing shot. I share your love of tidepools, busy, active communities. This is a tribute to the abundance of life in this zone.

Thanks Judy. Northern Brittany, with its 30 feet tides, is probably one of the best areas in the world to observe these universes, even though pollution and overfishing has taken its toil. Tidal pools are quite hard to photograph, though - I tried, but my results were a lot better whith that vertical piece of concrete!

Southern Alaska and British Columbia sea shore must be quite something, too.

What a fantastic composition. Besides a peak into nature, you have captured a beautiful abstract. I love the blues and grays in this. The details, down to the shells in the lower right hand corner that almost look like Easter eggs, are outstanding. Glad you took time to shoot it-sorry about your camera! Best.

Thank you very much. I've always favored those hues, more than highly saturated colors - well , not always obviously, but that's how I'm leaning.

My camera fully recovered from the incident; most of the film got ruined though. That's life I guess!
