Beautiful colours and composition. The only part of the picture I don't like is the branch across the top which seems to form a barrier.

The quality of light is extraordinary. Everything looks perfect, but now that Simon pointed out the branch across the top, it distracts me. Probably not much you could do though. You very well may have chosen to place the branch across the frame. Still a very strong image for me!

I love this photograph a lot! I have to play a bit of a contrarion to my esteemed colleagues Mark and Simon on the branch. I believe that there is a certain symmetry with the foreground branch and then the one a bit further back and lower down. Viewed together, I believe that the composition works very well. Wonderful mood and lighting conditions. I feel like I am standing on the crown of the hill with you enjoying this misty location. Beautiful work! Cheers! Chris

Fabulous capture! You saw the picture in your mind and you got it! I love this!

 

The bare branch in the background does not bother me....it's just part of the whole scene. Photographers do not mess with scenery. There is no such thing as a perfect situation for photography and so it is here. You made the most of what was there.
