While at the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum, I checked out their hummingbird display. It was great fun! There were too many people and I'm too inexperienced at shooting hummingbirds to get really good shots, but I got a couple that I like. This is probably my favorite of the three hummingbird shots - I like the color and the wing motion that you can see. Your honest thoughts would be appreciated!

One of a series of three images taken at the hummingbird exhibit at

the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum. (The other two images are in this

same folder.) There were too many people and I'm too inexperienced at

shooting hummingbirds to get really good shots, but I got a couple

that I like. Any thoughts and honest criticisms will be graciously

accepted (as will any ratings). Thank you! :-)

I will just chime in with everyone else - this is very good. These critters are very difficult to capture and you have done it well here. Regards.

This is my favorite of the series. We see the delicate bird and delicate flower at the height of their interaction. GJ

I like the moment in time captured here, Lou Ann. They are definitely hard to catch when they are in motion, so you did a good job with this one.

Wow! You did a fantastic job of capturing this one and I like the balance of the fluttering wings against the flower which seems to almost mimic the humming bird in flight.

Beautiful....Hummingbird wings are great....I like the bright pink of the flower, really makes the photo pop! Great job...

Fantastic photo - the lighting on the flower brings the photo to life. Even the light on the left helps balance the composition. And spot on focus. Well done! You should definitely be pushing your way through at these exhibits.

Inexperience yet you did well, Lou Anne. Good sharpness of the flower & the bird itself with its flapping wings.

Great action shot! These little ones move so fast but you and your camera managed quite well indeed. Interesting, background and bird share the same colouring. I just noticed that in Kim S.'s hummer photo as well. Hummmm . . .

Beautiful shot Lou Ann.

Love the perspective. The flower is unique to me and the feet captured, great. I like the highlight at the end of the wing, reminds me of the moon for some reason. "Twilight Feeding" is my thought; although, plenty of light is visible. It provides interest for me. I would like a bit more sharpness.

This one is neat.

I've taken a number of hummingbird shots (unsuccessfully) myself, so I know how hard it is to get them in focus. But the blur on this h.b. almost enhances the photo, putting the emphasis more on that spectacular flower. Overall, I think this is a great shot.....the light at the tip of the wing just sets it off balance-wise. Very nice job on this!
