While at the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum, I checked out their hummingbird display. It was great fun! There were too many people and I'm too inexperienced at shooting hummingbirds to get really good shots, but I got a couple that I like. Is this little guy called a "rufous"? I'm rather bummed that I didn't get his whole tail. Rrrrrr.... Your honest thoughts would be appreciated!

One of a series of three images taken at the hummingbird exhibit at

the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum. (The other two images are in this

same folder.) There were too many people and I'm too inexperienced at

shooting hummingbirds to get really good shots, but I got a couple

that I like. Any thoughts and honest criticisms will be graciously

accepted (as will any ratings). Thank you! :-)

i don't know what kind of hummingbird this is. is he a youngster? it looks like he hasn't lost all of his down yet. nice capture. i am not troubled by the tail being cut off.

Because of the angle of the bird, I don't think it matters that the tail isn't completely in the shot. It looks like a baby - cute!
