lonebearimages 0 Posted May 14, 2008 Gorgeous photograph, and wonderful black and white conversion. I am not on a well-calibrated monitor; but wonder if the sunlit sides of the peaks aren't just a touch over-exposed? Beautiful shot of Zion NP. Well seen, and captured, my friend. Cheers! mozgur 0 Posted May 15, 2008 Hi Chris, Although it is exaggerated in this sepia-toned version, there is indeed loss in detail at highlights. Due to angle of shot, it is hard to capture all the details in a single shot with or w/o GND filters. As you may know this was captured from a busy, narrow bride, so I could not setup a tripod to have a proper HDR image either. There are a lot of excuses, but, frankly, I am not too disturbed by the loss in this case. In fact when I first saw the RAW data, I thought it looked nice. It suggests snowy peaks, which I wished to have instead. cheers, Link to comment
lonebearimages 0 Posted May 15, 2008 I am glad that I came back for another visit; and I am on my good monitor now; and, frankly, it looks just fine! This is really a terrific photograph. I think it looks just fine! I'd hang it on my wall! Keep up the good work; and thanks for sharing. Cheers! Chris Link to comment
