Great aerial shot of this compound! Through the glass of the window? This really sends a message, doesn't it......love your title of this. Of course we're free to indulge like this....that's what makes our country great. But the older I get the more I'm turned off by ostentation and gluttony. You should submit this to the 'no words' forum. I'm sure it would generate a lot of interest.

Great shot with good socio-critical title. like a shot by paparazzi from a helicopter.

eeesh...beautiful image. disgusting subject. I thought that we had cornered the market on these resource gobbling sprawls in the u.s.. I wish that the fingers of wealthy consumption didn't reach into every beautiful spot on earth. so so so sad.

Think about the hundreds upon hundreds of workers which were employed in the building of these structures. Think about the men and women who found work in manufacturing the appliances, carpets, furniture etc etc used in these buildings. Think about the people employed in the day to day operation of this compound. The Cleaners, the Technichians, the Repairmen of all kinds of trades, who find work there, so that they can put a roof over their family's heads and bread on their table. Why is it, that each time someone creates something a bit out of the ordinary, the socialists come and decry such a creation. Why is it that such knee-jerk reactions are uttered without any thought of the consequences of not building things, not manufacturing consumable items, not producing, even if sometimes over and above the ordinary, run of the mill housing complex? I hope that if "the rich get richer, at the same time the poor get a little less poor"...

Please let us not condem the effort to create.....

The hundreds and hundreds of workers????? Think about the the thousands and thousands of people who are getting wiped out as a direct result of this culture's need to consume. The recent cyclone in Burma was much more devastating because of the destruction of the mangrove forests. The same holds true for the Asian tsunami. Trees are insulation for the Earth....without them...we cannot survive. There will be no more jobs no more workers no people rich or poor... unless we stop consuming so much and defecating all over our beautiful home. Try this little test...Go into your garage...close the door...start your car's engine and see how long you can hang out in that atmosphere. Or...try this....Keep taking food from your well stocked refrigerator and don't replace the contents. See how long you can go before your family starts getting hungry. We are consuming limited resources. A culture based on consumption will fail. We will all pay. Unfortunately the vulnerable populations pay first and pay the most.

I hope you will forgive me if I tell you that yours are baseless and meaningless arguments in connection with the building of what appears to me to be a modest condominium development. Your reasoning is specious and without any merit and hardly deserving of a reply...Bert

Sorry, these are apartments, not one single home. The community shares the 2 pools and beach front. Several hundred live here.

I'm going to say that this was a nice attempt at a statement but the subject falls short of what you are trying to say.

To the technical aspects, croping more from the left would give it a bigger feeling. Avoid the dodging and that burn spot around the top outline of the buildings. Your title could be applied to a better example.
