Guest Guest Posted May 14, 2008 Hi Beng J, This is probably one of the better ones I have seen. Just a little thing, a few degrees, why not straighten the horizon? But as I said, I like it. Cheers Petere Link to comment
beng 0 Posted May 14, 2008 For your comments. To Peter, yes I would very much prefer straight horizon. But, if the horizon is straighten in postprocessing, the light reflections on the water would not be straight. I have other photo taken from another location with straight horizon, but the view of the building is different. Anyway, thank a lot for your constructive comment. Link to comment
beng 0 Posted May 18, 2008 What you have done with the same pic is incredible. I think I have to learn more in using Photoshop, which I am still not good at. Thanks again. I am replacing the pic with a new version after "straightening the horizon" ( maybe still not 100% straight ) soon. Link to comment
mauroni 0 Posted June 17, 2008 Hi guys! This is the best SOH picture I have ever seen, but I do not unerstand what changes to the original Peter is supposed to have made (I mean: I cannot see any difference between the two pics). Can one of you people explain me? Tnx Mauro Link to comment
beng 0 Posted June 17, 2008 Thanks for your comment. My 1st uploaded photo ( the unmanipulated original ) had the horizon about 15 degree angle to the horizontal line. Peter suggested to "straighten" the horizon in Photoshop ( as his uploaded correction ). But, I had not done 100% straightening to still maintain the look I saw when I took the photograph. SOH is a unique iconic structure and one of the most beautiful building in the world. Link to comment
mauroni 0 Posted July 2, 2008 Yes, now I see the difference and I agree with you. Sorry Peter :-) Mauro Link to comment
