... I would have been quite jealous about this picture and made some statement like "Okay, Theo, now you are just showing off!!!" :) Again, amazing and beautiful work. On the larger version, the first sunlit portion on the left wall from the trefoil above the arch, the red dot in the middle. Perfect. The asymmetry of this shot is a great touch. I tried something like this at Moissac last year, same basic composition. Where yours is light and delicate, mine was heavy and clumsy. I hope that explains the jealousy :)

A panorama of 16 HDR photos in a 8x2 grid, so 48 photos were made for

this. Perhaps I like to show too much in one photo, but I liked the

juxtaposition of the sunny left and the darker right part as well as some of the

details: the arches on the left, the glass and the red spot on the wall.

Comments welcome. Please view the large version, that's really essential

with this photo: in the small version too many details are lost. Thanks for

viewing.

Excellent, Theo. The effort paid off ! I assume you worked with a tripod, but how did you manage to get the right overlap for stitching so many shots ?

Thanks for your comments. Judy: Dennis was right, actually. After his comment I did some more post-processing to remove the haze and this is that new 'de-hazed' version. Peter: this was indeed shot with a tripod. I used a 10-22 mm lens for this at its wide setting, so that gives plenty overlap between photos.

An excellent example of HDR Theo. You've certainly got to grips with the technique, which is something that I am still working at! ;-)

I'll keep my eye out for more of your work.

Theo, this is just amazing - perfect HDR rendition and stitching of 48 shots. At 10 mm the Canon 10-22 mm lens shows quite a bit of edge distortion. Did the stitching program cope with that or did you make corrections with, for example, DxO Optics Pro first?

I know you put a lot of effort into this, thanks! RickDB
