They were sweet to me...

Sweet expressions on two gals who felt very comfortable in front of your camera.  The closeness of their heads and the blurred background serve up immediate impact.  I adjusted the brightness and contrast with levels and curves in photoshop 7.  I used the dodge tool on both midtone and highlights correction at 20% opacity.  I took a snapshot and, using the history brush, returned 30% of the facial tone of the girl on the right towards the original to reduce the contrast between highlight and shadow on her face.  I hope this helps.  Good luck.

I do like the original very much. The reworked image by the previous poster seems to drag away the charm and atmosphere the original has.
