cphilpott 0 Posted May 11, 2008 Another fine Joseph Tury shot of a world I can not see with looking through his eyes. The eyes here just pull me in and grab me. All the composition lines and flow and color work, but for me, it is the eyes on this one. I may have mentioned to you before that I seem only able to see what is "there" (except for motion), and yet when others see beyond the "real" it is often very moving. Link to comment
bob_belanger 1 Posted May 11, 2008 I don't know what the original looks like, but the choice of pastels in this really works and I find it inspiring. Link to comment
joe-tury 0 Posted May 11, 2008 Craig: I think it all began with my love of fantasy way back when. Now it's a blessing to be able to create some of my own. I really appreciate your comments!Bob: Mr. Brilliant erased the original! I formatted my card for a photo shoot. grrrrrrrrrrrr. The wings are pretty close to my capture. The bg colours are provided by sampling bits of the bird. Thanks again for taking the time to comment! Link to comment

rogerleekam 0 Posted May 11, 2008 Fascinating image. At first I wondered whether it was a seal, but the tail feathers decided me otherwise. I would love to see the original (but ok if you want to preserve the mystery). I get the feeling of sky and clouds in the background. Link to comment
ffrank 0 Posted May 12, 2008 I really like the direction you are going with your photography Joe. The pastels are very pleasing to look at and you've managed to capture the fleeting glimpse from the bird without losing the motion of the overall image. Nice......... Link to comment
lonebearimages 0 Posted May 12, 2008 I don't know how you do it; but you have continued to elevate your photography with every posting; and this is clearly no exception. This is, hands down, one of my favorites of yours! You have moved far beyond mere documentation; which must of us engage in; to fine art; which is where you solidly are. Keep up the great work; and know that I am incredibly proud of you; and will continue to joyfully look forward to the images that you share with all of us! Drive on; you are the Man! Cheers! joe-tury 0 Posted May 15, 2008 The response to this has been most fascinating to read Thanks Everyone!! David: Thanks. He did most of the work. I believe his attitude came from his nest and mate. I didn't know this at the time!Paula: I appreciate that. Thanks for reading the previous comments! Sometimes the ideas flow.Jim: Thanks for coming by! He was a bit annoyed by me, therefore the look.Inger: Definitely unusual. I was hesitant to post this because I thought it might be too unusual. I appreciate your warm comments!Pnina: Thank you! The texture has an odd look but it works I think. I wish it had more of a knife painting look. Perhaps I can figure that one out.Deb: Thanks a lot! The wing blur works , an accident caught because I was had the settings set for something else! Lucky me!Jose: Thank you for your many comments lately! I tried a few crops but this tight one looked the best to me.Roger: Yes, I see the seal too.I seriously would love to show you the original. It is a bit bland compare to this. I thoughtlessly deleted it. I haven't pulled that number for a couple of years!Fred: Thanks. I've always wanted to do digi-art and I guess it's starting to happen. This was a happy accident of sorts. I wasn't trying to capture a motion shot so that is the reason for the blur.Chris: Seriously man, your words mean a lot. I really appreciate your encouragement. I love the fact that you can enjoy different styles of work. You truly "get it". Thanks for all your recent comments my friend! You fire me up!Vamsi: Thanks dude! You are too cool! Took awhile to get the blend to where I was happy with it. I use a graphics tablet for best results.Richard: Why not indeed! lol! Gotta keep trying new things. Thanks man!Glauco: Crazy look is it not? Thanks for stopping by!Joseph: Always enjoy your visits. It's like "when birds dream!" :o) Thanks!Marshall: Back again!!? I appreciate all your comments my friend! Yes, he could be a dolphin for sure! LOL. Thanks!Maury: Thanks for taking the time. I enjoy your thoughts. The colour combination took me the longest.Halina: Hopefully its original. Thank you very much! Link to comment

jonesphotography 0 Posted May 16, 2008 I see the bird flying at a very high rate of speed then snapping his head around to look at me as if I am his prey. This demonic looking creature scares the hell out of me. Great post processing. I like the effects a lot. I just can not get past the demonic stare. Darren Link to comment
