Desert Landscape 04

There was a great sky the first night I was in Arizona. I thought this one would be good in B&W. Your thoughts?

Lou Ann, this is impressive desert landscape! great light , special sky ,and mood. beautiful B/W conversion. Is it Arizona?( Yes it is... looked at the others but this a great favorite) I realy love it.

It works well in b&w and the sky is really fantastic. I would like it better with a desert floor in the foreground instead of a road, but that's just me and my preference.

You're right, Shawn - but there was NO WAY that I would be treading amongst the rattlesnakes! I might try trespassing some day ... but rattlesnake food, no way! :-)

This is where you need to travel with a dim-witted person or a dog. You let them be the "ice breaker" and then you just follow safely behind. I've used this technique when hiking desert trails in California. I let the family of four go ahead of me on the trail and that way I don't have to be so careful as to where I put my feet.

You're SO right. (I need to get me a dog!) There was not a soul around for miles and miles when I was doing this shoot. The park is supposedly closed at dark. I heard a couple of cars drive by ... but the road was a good 100 yards away. Yup, a dog.......

Woof...woof......grrrrrr...wooof....woooofffff.......I'll lead the way.
