amalsircar 2 Posted May 8, 2008 Pnina, I too like the composition very much. The white markings with figures, against gray road, has accentuated the beauty of this image. Simple yet original shot. Link to comment
jeffl7 0 Posted May 8, 2008 I like how the icons are more real than the people. You've used the DOF to an advantage, creating an interesting way of pulling us into the walk. Link to comment
glaucodattini 0 Posted May 8, 2008 Very good composition and excellent use of the depth of field.Warm regards.Glauco Link to comment
alberta_pizzolato 21 Posted May 8, 2008 Would they know what to do without the street markings? Your wonderful image gives me the sense that the walkers are obedient servants to the white signs. Thought-provoking image, well done! Cheers ~ Link to comment
jcpopper 0 Posted May 8, 2008 A witty and well made image. I like this very much. Warm regards... Link to comment
cherlyn 1 Posted May 8, 2008 Those icons are eye-catching, which is further enhanced by the DOF. A most pleasant street shot. Link to comment
joe-tury 0 Posted May 9, 2008 Funny. I admire your street shots. I am too hesitant to try something like this. Love the dof and perspective. :) Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted May 9, 2008 All of you for your feedback , Very much appreciated. it was treally a funny situation... Joe T. try it, you have the eye... it is a way to observe human behaviour in everyday situations. We all are in the streets as parts of our life.... Link to comment
adan1 0 Posted May 9, 2008 Very catchy and humorous scene. The dof treatment is cleverly done. The symbols become the "real" subject here and the people walking in the distance are the abstract. It's like a role reversal in a way. Link to comment
gordonjb 10,860 Posted May 9, 2008 Ah well... now it is your turn to make me smile :) The DoF is perfect. The fact that the images on the pavement look worn and weary and the real people look fuzzy and out of focus, gives plenty of room for a host of added interpretations. Very clever indeed. bosshogg 4 Posted May 10, 2008 DOF is everything to this image. And I guess you knew that. Take care dear girl. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted May 10, 2008 All of you, I'm glad it made you smile, always a needed "item"..... Link to comment

Jack McRitchie 150 Posted May 11, 2008 Such a strange, iconic shot. Every once in a while you come up with something like this and kind of dazzle me. Link to comment
iancoxleigh 0 Posted May 11, 2008 This is a dazzling, fascinating shot. I love the speckles in the pavement, they really help bring your eye through the shot to the people in the background. As others have said, the DOF is perfectly chosen and the slightly fuzzy figures seem to echo the forms in the painted icons so well that it is uncanny. I wonder why there is a diagonal line through the painted icons? Regardless, a lovely image. One of the best 'street' shots I've seen in a while. Link to comment
gordonjb 10,860 Posted May 11, 2008 That is odd, the effect to my eye is that the line is a banister and they are all going downwards. Link to comment
tonmestrom 4 Posted May 11, 2008 well, it's all been said and I agree. Just miss that guide dog though. And Pnina, not trying to be funny here but why not a b&w of this one. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted May 12, 2008 Again all of you. Jack, dazzling you ? not so easy....;-)) Ian, the diagonal is the point I was deliberatly chosen. I was waiting ready for the right people to pass the icon... Gord, it show how our imagination functions differently....I'm glad it made you smile, as well as all the others. Ton, I think that this one really can be a B/W as well , so here it is... you like it better I presume? Link to comment
tonmestrom 4 Posted May 12, 2008 you presume correctly, but of course you knew that. I really think this kind of photo looks so much better in b&w Link to comment
