bob_belanger 1 Posted May 8, 2008 Very creative. She seems very soft compared to the rest of the image. Very compelling. Link to comment
joe-tury 0 Posted May 8, 2008 Yann: Yes, I believe so. Thanks for the comment.Bob: The softness comes from my inexperience with the technique. Hopefully I can sharpen it up.Thanks! Link to comment
bob_belanger 1 Posted May 8, 2008 I can't begin to understand the technique, but I think this is masterful. Link to comment
godfather 0 Posted May 8, 2008 The background is rather interesting. Also the expression on Mrs. Bigglesby is quite charming. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted May 8, 2008 Joe, I always exepect some surprise on your files... ;-)) this reminds me the mirrors that are changing the way one is really reflected in them.... Funny , nice and creative in your using the technic. Nice hint of humour as well. Link to comment
rogerleekam 0 Posted May 8, 2008 Great image. Reminds me a little of those tribal wose necks have been lengthened by metal rings. Her face is priceless, and I think this image would have been at least as good cropped just below the clock chimes. Excellent color. Link to comment
jeffl7 0 Posted May 9, 2008 ...played organ in our church. Over-sized black shoes, thick-soled, pumping the pedals like pistons. She was nice enough. She swayed a little on the organ bench, to and fro. singing harmony under her breath. In between songs, she was still as a statue. Breathless. Staring at the minister without blinking throughout the sermon. Then as the altar call began, she roused, almost as if sound-activated. At the end, she disappeared out the side door. A few said she smoked cigarettes during the week. Ugly rumors. She always smelled like wintergreen to me. Link to comment

joe-tury 0 Posted May 9, 2008 Bob: It's just clicks and whistles :) Thanks again!Tero: I'm not surprised at all that you mentioned the BG. It's a motion blur pan of some tall winter grass. I thought the golden tones worked well with the lighting and hat. Thanks!Mehmet: You're always quick to view my work. Thanks a lot!Pnina: Thank you very much. I love the interpretation with the mirrors. :)Deb: Fun mostly, except when I have to redo certain parts a few times over! Thanks!Joseph: Really appreciate that!Cherlyn: Thank you much! :)Chaba: Thanks for your feedback!Roger: LOL. That's funny. I got a little lucky with her face. It changed when I stretched it out . Thanks for the ideas!Jeff: You're killin me with that one. LOL. Great story. I can totally picture it! You've nailed it fairly well.Emmanuel: Your continued support means a lot !! Modigliani-although I didn't know his name, I was aiming for something like that. Link to comment

lonebearimages 0 Posted May 12, 2008 To my eye, this is Joe's interpretation of the American heartland. This is shades of Grant Woods' "American Gothic." Kudos to you, Joseph! This is a masterpiece; and I wouldn't change a thing! Cheers! Chris Link to comment
