kim_young2 0 Posted May 4, 2008 FANTASTIC PHOTO! I absolutely love the composition and lighting. Great use of blur and keeping her face sharp. BEAUTIFUL! Link to comment
uaguy 0 Posted May 4, 2008 Dear Kim, thanks for your comment. This was the first time I use 50mm f/1.2L For some kind of reason I think L Canon's lens are so much like POINT & SHOT lens - you have to do nothing to photo taken with theses lenses - it already looks GOOD at the camera screen. This photo was taken at f/1.2 THE LENS IS SHARP! Greetings from Ukraine. Link to comment

sbyington 0 Posted May 6, 2008 Never mind.....just read your reply. It's beautiful....I have been thinking about this lens. Will probably be my next one. Thanks for posting. Link to comment
achristensen 0 Posted May 8, 2008 I love this shot. The detail on her face with the intricate little veil is awesome. I am doing my first wedding in 5 weeks ans will definitely go for this one. I just got the much less expensive 50mm 1.8 lens and when it focuses gives a great blur. Was there a window just to your right? Link to comment
uaguy 0 Posted May 8, 2008 Amy, I wish you luck with your first wedding. 50-1.2 is great lens - the one I used here belongs to friend of mine. It was sort of test-drive and I'm thinking of getting this one or 35-1.4. I own 50-1.4 - I think it's the best lens for the money after 85-1.8. There was the window. http://sergeyusik.com/blog/ - here is some shots from this wedding. Sergey Link to comment

achristensen 0 Posted May 18, 2008 i have been back to this photo literally and mentally about 100 times since I first saw it. Its just magical. Something about the illumination on that veil, the energy in the angle and in her left arm, the mystery of where she is (I saw a different angle of this on your web page which also includes you and was amazed at how ordinary the setting was- that makes it even more remarkable) just blows me away. Thanks for sharing it. Link to comment
