Myrna During Chemo Before She Died

The week before I met Myrna on Murdock Street. I ask her to sit for a portrait. She brought her husband. Both had cancer. Richard died first.

i did not hold much hope for richard but i thought myrna would make it. i was a stranger and they were so nice to me.

She knew she was dying, I guess... The hands touched me most, as if they were trying to hold...

Yes she knew. She was sad to go. But she had a strong christian faith and knew she was going to a better place. She went into remission for a short while; her hair started to come back. She wanted to leave her best friend Sammy with something of herself. I took that photo too (attached); we had a lot of fun; and then it was all over. I printed all of the photos 16"x20", 40cmx50cm, and framed them. They and those with Richard are hanging around in peoples homes -friends children, etc. That was her whole point. Myrna would think it pretty neat to be up here on photo.net. Yes I do have releases.
