Jack McRitchie 150 Posted May 2, 2008 There is something hard and challenging in the way she looks at the camera as if to say "this is the way it is, take it or leave it; I don't care". Link to comment
dberryhill 3 Posted May 2, 2008 As Jack often does, he said what I was thinking, but said it better. I can't help but wonder where the road turned in this direction. You obviously have a wonderful skill in getting people to expose themselves to you and your camera. Link to comment
myattphotoandfotoart39 1 Posted May 3, 2008 She doesn't care about anything, I would say Doug, that the road turned for her when she began using crack. She does not smile. I never saw her smile. Link to comment
laurent-paul 1 Posted May 3, 2008 Her look is so powerfull ! it is amazing, but my first feeling was "it is like looking at myself in a mirror", meaning that once again you are showing the humanity in her so much more than "just" her skin and physical appearence ! Link to comment
wogears 186 Posted May 6, 2008 Very fine image. I think it would retain its power without telling us what she is. Link to comment
myattphotoandfotoart39 1 Posted May 6, 2008 Good point. I am often not sure just how to title. Over the last years I have tried to make titles objective not subjective. I could title it "her name". That is objective and other then her no one disputes that. I could title it "so and so by the window". Again objective and nothing contentious (sp?). "Prostitute By the Window", etc. is objective, no one can argue about it either but as you suggest it may be too much information. If I title this 'lonely girl by a window", that title is not objective; it is subjective, arguable, and maybe a lie. Thanks Link to comment
