Sun's First Light Zabriskie Point

Please view larger. The sun had yet to break over the mountain peaks

but it was only a matter of seconds. The light was much more intense

than when the sun was much lower but not as bright as when the sun

would clear the peaks. The luminosity and colors of the rocks faces

just sprang to life. I did increase the saturation and contrast

slightly to further enhance this wonderful light. Your comments are

always welcome!

This is really a masterpiece! I am gobsmacked at the color palette you've attained in this image. Somehow the variegated colors seem to mesh perfectly with the variegated elements and characteristics of the landscape. Wonderful lead-in for the eye with the black sands. Beautiful shot with terrific light and detail. Well worth viewing in 'larger' format, but not a huge difference in size. (I'd have enjoyed a few more pixels.) All credit on a fine composition and exposure, however. Kind regards, Chris
