kellen1 0 Posted May 1, 2008 Great tone in this black and white and a very interesting building. Makes me want to go up on the porch and look in the windows. Nice framing here, I like how you sacrificed some of the top of the building to show us more detail. Link to comment
dberryhill 3 Posted May 1, 2008 Kellen, thank you. This would have been much better if I had come back at a time when the light was more on the front of the store. But it didn't seem that important then. I was just going around taking pictures of old buildings for a darkroom class I was taking. Now, 30 years later, I wish I had gone back there. Link to comment

dberryhill 3 Posted May 6, 2008 This was shot before digital. But, yeah, I've gotten out my film cameras and ordered some film. And it's all your fault. I saw that marvelous picture of yours of the side of the old house in New Market, and I said to myself that I can't get that same wonderful feel with digital. I even went back there and tried. Maybe I just don't know how to do it with digital. Maybe I won't get it with film either. But I'm going to give it a shot. Actually it will be fun, until I spend an hour getting the spots off a negative. Link to comment
