One of the well known creation of M. Cervantes, Don Kichot. A very busy spot for all kinds of visitors....Thanks for your impression

The addition of the human figures to the scene makes for a richer image. I can envision the young boys between Alonso and Sancho spinning their own imaginary tales of chivalry.

Thanks, did you see the doggy?...;-))It is nearly impossible, as there are so many people around, but the doggy was a nice bonus and a moment relatively available...LOL

Yeah I saw the doggy :) he looks to be in a hurry, another seconds and he would have been out of the frame.

The color is wonderful and the statues are amazing. Sadly, the graffiti stands out but seems to triangulate with the red shirts.

There's a Mendele Mocher Sforiim book called "The Travels of Benjamin the Third," "Masiot Shel Benjamin HaShlishi" based on these two characters, but his are Jews wandering around same three shtetls in Eastern Europe. What a wondrous place.

Thanks John and Donna.

Well seen composition with a sense of wonder conveyed through the children and the adult. The dog adds an animated touch and is nicely framed between the man and the child wearing red outfits and Don Quijote seems to implore you to refrain from taking his picture. Is this Plaza Espana by any chance? I stayed by there when I visited Madrid and this looks vaguely familiar.

Very good balanced composition,Pnina. Not only the two famous characters of Cervantes' "El ingenioso hidalgo don Quijote de la Mancha " have come alive, you have added more living characters in this canvas. Do you have any image of the full reflection of the statue on the water?

I like the composition very much Pnina...the two statues balance each other, the reds and dog adds life, the reflection gives an aesthetical bonus...a superb travel image...

I think this is all the more poignant for the presence of the little boys, playing with the stirrup. And I do like that the dog is there, but wish it were a little bigger. It's also very interesting that you captured this when the person standing on the right was looking away... a comment? And I'm also mindful that there is graffiti under the statue of the working woman, but *not* under the men who are obviously making a public appearance and waving to the crowd.

Overall, this is a very interesting image with much, rich detail, and many elements to consider and enjoy.

For the nice interesting point uploaded.

Adan, yes it is Plaza de Espana, very busy because it is a point that many people come to visit.

Vladimir, thanks

Amal, Yes I have them, but I photographed so much, that I saved only the ones I think are the best of the lot.....

Laurent, Each travel to a new place is travel to another culture, local first and some parts are world heritage. Miguel de Cervantes is one of them.I photographed many on that spot. but there are so many visitors, that I was lucky to find a moment that I could make a composition.Nice to see you posting again.

David, I took this one from the other side of the Plaza, because I wanted the water reflections, and the plaza is quite big.( the large mode is better)

Another point that you upload and is interesting is the graffiti under the

woman's statue, I don't know if it was intentional, but in any event, I saw it and included it as a sign of vandalizm, of unrespect to that world heritage.

The doggi was a funny bonus....

Thanks again.

I looked at your latest pictures and this one arrested me for some reason. There is a lot going on in this picture. Stories within stories. The Don Quichotte and the lady sitting are the strongestand most obvious but there is a little dog (cat?) and the kids playing who bring another layer of players plus the reflections. It's rich in info, interesting.

The doggy might be small but very noticable. Well balance the 2/3 actual scene with its 1/3 reflection. I also like the inclusion of the lady glancing up. Adds so much more meaning to the place.

Very mice composition, Pnina. I wonder if it might be more effective if you included the whole reflection in a portrait format, as the reflections are quite beautiful. I like the graffiti on the base of the statue on the right.

Pascal, Cherlyn and Roger.

Roger, it was not possible because there were so many tourists

... I waited till it was less crouded.... I have many frames that I did not like as the statue was not really seen, people were all over climbing them....This was the moment that was better, and the doggy really gave it a sense of humor for me.
