lesa jones 0 Posted April 29, 2008 Spotted the shoes and thought it would make an interesting image. It was very cloudy and sprinkiling rain, but alas even a rainy day at the beach beats staying indoors. Link to comment
sheryl_w__blue_mt._ 0 Posted April 29, 2008 you were right, Lesa... it does make for a good composition... I'm enjoying the barefoot beaches of the Emerald Coast too... that time of the year... this one makes for a good postcard image....warmest regards friend Link to comment
katzpjs 50 Posted April 29, 2008 This last weekend the temperature in Seattle got close to 70 and a hard rain came along. I love being out in the warm rain like that. I remember being at the beach in So. California when it was raining and we'd just go into the ocean water at that time because it was warmer there than on the sand. Fond memories... Link to comment

lesa jones 0 Posted April 29, 2008 Thanks everyone for the comments and sharing your thoughts on this image. I was uncertain about his "darkness", but in the end, decided that since it was very gray and raining, the sand was not its usual sugar white color, that "keeping it real" was more in line with what I wanted to convey in the image. Thanks again for the comments. Regards....LJ Link to comment

timkeller 0 Posted May 14, 2008 Simple and sweet and reminiscent of Norman Rockwell, this would also make a great painting. Link to comment
dseltzer 0 Posted May 14, 2008 Wonderful capture. I'm glad you left it darker. It has a softer and warmer feeling than if it were brighter. Makes me wish I was there, walking along that fence. Link to comment
vicenteconcha 8 Posted May 14, 2008 The shoes break the pattern of the fence and recreate a story on the beach. Very well balanced. Congratulations. Vicente. Link to comment
